Upon arrival my original room on the receipt was different and the attendant changed it to a room with a broken t.v. I called to report that t.v. was not working and was given original room with a working t.v. with NO problem.
NO ice machine for rooms. The rugs could be cleaner and old and worn furniture very outdated. For the price I have stayed in better hotels with breakfast included.
It was close to the grocery store.
The elevator was broken several times. It wasn't very clean. The floor was really dirty. The sheets were dingy. I asked for a non-smoking room on the first floor for my disabled mother. They gave me a smoking room on the third floor. The price for this room was not what I should have paid. It was not worth it!
The location was good.
There was trash and cigarette butts all over the stairwell. The furniture was falling apart particle board. Carpet was stained. Room smelled of cigarettes and mold even though it was a non-smoking room.
The staff was friendly.
The room reeked of cigarette smoke. My kids were horrified- that may be the silver lining- they'll never want to take up smoking! The room didn't appear dirty, but with that smell, it didn't seem clean. As soon as we got home we threw everything that could be washed it the washer and frebreezed and aired out the rest. They knew 4 of us were staying, but we had towels for 2 and only 2 chairs at the table. The door didn't fit well in the doorframe and you could see outside. Moderate noise outside. the people milling about made us nervous.
The non-smoking room we got was definitely given to a smoker before us.
It was in our budget but I am sure if the Democrats Convention wasn't on we could've got somewhere a lot more convenient and of more quality
The rooms smelt of smoke, the quality of the people staying there , the location for travellers with no car meant taxi fares to Philly, they left garbage in plastic bags on each landing for the 2 days we were there, the lift didn't work
Reserved a queen bed room and got a room with a full bed instead. Room was supposed to be non smoking and clearly smelled like cigarette. No ice bucket in room. I was told I had to wait until the room was inspected so I could get my $25 incidental deposit refunded. Only one person checking in guests and the process took forever considering most guests were in for the DNC. Overall a complete mess and chaos. Please save yourself the indignation and book somewhere else. Not worth the money.
it was cheap, but still not worth the money
The bed wasn't clean, the room was clearly not taken care of.
It was a very comfortable stay at Crossland Economy Lodge, The staff were friendly and professional. I would stay there again.
Very clean. Although it is a shared one and not very clean but a microwave oven was available.
No refridgrator. Tissue paper ran out but no supply.
The front desk staff was wonderful. Kind and pleasant.
The bed could be more comfortable. It was a great value for the cost. I will stay there again but need a more comfortable bed. Also, the room carpet was dirty and had an odor from smokers even though it was a non- smoking room.
I asked for a room that was smoke free, it smelled like someone just lit a pack of cigarettes and left. The floor I remember being damp, the sheets where dirty. They have no night staff so I had to ask for clean sheets and do it myself. I took the sheets off left them on the chair hoping they would come in the morning to take it away, that never happened so you know they don't go in to clean your room or change towels sheets nothing. Not a good experience never again. One thing I have learned if it's cheep expect cheep. I'm sure there is more but I can't remember. If that's all you can afford then make the best of a subpar situation.
If you need a cheap stop, and are willing to tolerate cosmetic flaws, like a palm-sized stain on an otherwise clean carpet, don't be afraid to give this place a try. Clean, no bugs of any type.Polite, efficient staff. Room is adequate, with clean, crisp, bedding on comfortable beds.TINY refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well.Spacious, pretty, well- maintained grounds.Very quiet, not a typical, partly-residential hotel, not seedy in any way.I enjoyed my stay. If, however, you would be uncomfortable in a very culturaly, diverse situation, this is not the bargain for you.
Unit had 2-burner stovetop, but no pots, pans, dishes, silverware. The refrigerator was TINY, but worked well.No tub, but shower had good pressure and ample hot water for all showers.
Room smelled like smoke - no other rooms available - stained pillow cases - dirty carpet!!!
